this is basically a modified version of Waninkoko's WAD Manager that automatize the steps required for softmodding:

-install IOS16
-install CIOS using IOS16
-install CustomDIPed IOS for all IOS (aka CIOSCORP)
-...

time to update all your XXXXii guides, boys

Nice, that'll be very useful when installing softmods on peoples systems. Out of curiosity do you know does it do an online install or offline? Or could it do both as I often work on wiis without internet connection.

English:
The program is working on Waninkok's Cios36.If ios249 not found, then it auto to install ios16-64-v257-prod.wad and cios249.wad in wad directory.

install:
put three apps, installer and wad on sd card root.
then enter Homebrew Channel to run it ,then it will install all wad files in "installer"directory.

Nice ! I'm interested.
Does it install IOS36 rev8 as 249 ?

I'll be looking into this app shortly. Thanks for the heads up !

it's a good job, but this doesn't downgrade the system Menu, BC2 etc...

And yes, the question is: is it installing the rev8 and is it using the online installation (like the cios installer)?

If this use the online mode, is it patching ios with the DIP8 or DIP7?

What the frak? What's CIOS249?

Noob firendly applications are ok, but applications that name things totally wrong, is very bad. I don't want to help people who answer to the question which cIOS they have installed, CIOS249.

huh ?

CIOS249 obviously means a CIOS is installed as IOS249
I personnaly think it's the correct term and more informative than CIOS36RevXXX

it's offline installation so basically it install whatever CIOS version you want as long as you renamed it the way it is expected

why would you want to downgrade the system menu or BC ?
I thought that you only need patched IOS (and MIOS) to run backup in system menu

Hmm ... are you serious? How do you distinguish between cIOS36rev7 and cIOS37rev7 for example? How ofter do you come across a cIOS not installed as IOS249?(exception: cioscorp)

I personally think the terms IOS249 or just cIOS are better if you want short term without details. And CIOS249, well that would be a custom IOS made of IOS249 to me, but is there any non-custom IOS249?

in reality i was talking about the cios corp v1 or v2, not the cios by waninkoko! But if this is an offline installation, the question have no reason anymore.

I don't think it's really important the way it is named in the application: the installation process is the same and you can use any CIOS version you want this way, just rename it CIOS249.wad (or whatever the program is expecting) ... call it default CIOS name if you want

I agree that the original file naming is important though

this program implicitely force you to rename it before lauching the installer but you are still suposed to know what the original file was...

i get a error trying to install this via HBC i get files not found when they are in the right folders and right names and extentions, i also reformated my SD card *not sdhc or w/e) still says files not found
