vWii Not Connecting To Internet While Wii U Does

I've spent a whole day trying to connect my vWii to the internet. I've tried everything, hotspot, changing settings in both the Wii U and vWii settings, etc. Is there anything that won't cost me $20 that can get this to work?

Did you use a wii inject on the wii u menu? They don't connect to wifi, don't have cios and usb support. Also maybe dumb to say but are you sure that the wii u is connected to the internet. Check the web browser miiverse (if you have pretendo) if these services work.

Thanks, but I was able to fix it using a hotspot on my laptop.

Which games are you playing online on the vWii? Even the wii u online scene is nonexistent like 3 guys hanging in the lobby to get connected waiting forever. Except mk8 is doing kinda okish
