Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Homebrew VWii -1022 Error

I was following this tutorial <zeldacodes> about how to install a vulnerable IOS 36 for use with Gecko OS. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the tutorial was for real Wiis only, and I accidentally installed a real Wii IOS36-v3351 into my vWii.

Luckily a friend gave me a vWii IOS36-v3864.wad file that they dumped using YABDM.
I tried to follow a vWii unbrick guide.
Unfortunately, when I install the IOS36-v3864.wad file my friend gave me using Some YAWMM Mod, I get the following error:
<Type Error -1022 Content did not match Hash in TMD. Try with AHBPROT Mode or an IOS with the correct permissions.>

Can somebody help me figure out how to install this file? Thanks so much! P.S. I can still use the Wii Menu.
