Hardware Volume down button not responsive

Hi all,

My volume down button stopped working, the power and the volume up buttons work fine and I can reduce the volume on the menu. Just when I press the volume down button, nothing happens.

I thought it could be related with the buttons cable so I ordered one (still waiting for it to come), this one:


Since I this happened after I installed the SX core I wondering if this can be in anyway related with some damaged/bridged capacitor on the Tegra chip ?

Should it be the button cable or should I look somewhere else ?

I don't see how it could be related to a capacitor on the SOC. It seems like the easiest would be to replace the ribbon cable before looking elsewhere for problems.
