Hello everyone. Still not giving up on modifying skill points for Dragon's Crown 1.09. So far it seems it's not about hidden values or anything but some sort of a check up thats initiated by patch files (successfully modded some SP on 1.0 version of the game, once updated to 1.09 all SPs were reset).
Wanted to ask how difficult should it be for a newbie to make some sort of 1.09 modded rePatch which would ignore those check ups? Any chance anyone already tried that?

I see. I believe that actual address was at 85 range 16 bit. Problem is that every time zone changes or you attempt to save/load I assume game checks if your current skill points (spent or not) are equal to your level + SPs acquired from quests. That was not a thing in 1.0 though.
It seems this one will remain uncracked, unfortunately. But still, thanks for warning so I won't waste time
