Phantasy Star Nova is the main one I had issues with, despite the assurance of other users that the codes worked for them, absolutely none of the codes in that list worked for me, and part of my troubleshooting was disabling all plugins except for NoNpDrm (required for the game to run at all since it's from NPS) and storagemanager (required for my SD2Vita to work), still didn't work. At that point I basically accepted nothing I did was going to get it working for that game and stopped trying to troubleshoot it.

Then I tried Vitacheat in other games and discovered none of the codes for them worked either. The ones I tried were SAO:HR and EDF 2017. That's when I realized Vitacheat just doesn't like my Vita, since all other possible culprits were eliminated. and isn't going to work for me so I've totally removed it.

Actually you did mention DLC, I grabbed all the DLC that was up on NPS at the time (there's actually quite a bit missing that hasn't been added come to think of it, still missing the additional episodic quests), so I wonder if that might have been the culprit. Would have to know exactly which DLC the code creator had on at the time they authored the codes to test it though, but doing that would mean throwing away a 200+ hour save since removing DLC will likely bork the save or make it unusable until the DLC is restored. Either that or just redo the codes but with all the DLC installed.

You have installed it wrong. In ux0:Vitacheat/ delete everything except DB folder and Mem folder. Install the new font folder and vitacheat.suprx into that folder. Delete ur0:vitacheat/vitacheat.skprx and install the new one there.

Sadly you cant delete a game update you need to delete the whole game. Any chance you can find cheats for the ambition mode off the game? Like weapon materials and such?

bugger, ill stick to 1.01 then find what i can then maybe go back to 1.0, pkgj most cases takes ages to download or times out near the end.

im surprised ive stuck to this, dont normally like these type of games.

Yeah I find that most people dont tend to look for cheats for the Dynasty warriiors games as they are niche. All the games are the same thing,go hear, kill loads of people and you win haha.

I dont mind hack n slash games but these you have no sense of direction and the map is tiny you can barely see where you are.

Im going to try find address for moral bar then it wont matter if you play properly or not.

Then maybe find stats, hoping it isnt one for each character.

I think people pick games they have and can release codes for.

There is one which i know of i cant touch, mgs2 regardlesss of what search method i do i can never get a memory that works to even do a dump and use tempar to find pointer.

Mgs3 i could but it already has codes.

The numbers act weird and codes stop working because pointers are used. Grab tempAR from my github and follow the tutorial. TempAR is the easy part and I've beefed up the tools quite a bit since joining the vitacheat scene.

It's no wonder pointers were always so troublesome.... I'm trying to remake the tutorials, updated for TempAR - Vita Ed. But I keep finding games that have that weird shifting memory thing going on. Does this just happen to EVERY Vita game??? oO

Stardew Valley (v1.00)
The pointers for stamina are stored in 2 locations, and the pointer is different for each. Stamina is either stored in the 8600 region or the 8700 region. You can't use dumps from 1 region while also searching with dumps from the second region. This probably explains why Stardew crashes randomly when using codes... The memory switches over to the second set randomly and we need to be using the new pointer... Looking at the current tutorial, I can see that they used two dumps with the stamina in the 8500 region, which is correct, but they also needed 2 more dumps with stamina in the 86 or 84 region to get 2 different pointers. As well as a code to figure out the active pointer.

Rogue Aces (v1.00)
Also has shifting memory. When searching for bombs, they will either be in an address starting with 811 or 812. You cannot mix dumps with the 811 addresses into TempAR while also using 812 dumps.

Also, figured out why Don't Starve is (or has been?) unhackable.... It uses 64bit Double integers, instead of dec, hex or float. Now I know how to find them, but need to find out if there's pointers, and find them.

I found the values using a Double to Hex converter. Hunger starts at 150, so typing that into a calc, it gives us:

Float value- 150 = Hex value - 0x4062c00000000000

Obviously, this is too large to search for in Vitacheat, so I had to do some more digging. I had to learn how the Double values work, kinda...

Float value- 151.5 = Hex value - 0x4062f00000000000
Float value- 151   = Hex value - 0x4062e00000000000
Float value- 150.5 = Hex value - 0x4062d00000000000
Float value- 150   = Hex value - 0x4062c00000000000
Float value- 149.5 = Hex value - 0x4062b00000000000
Float value- 149   = Hex value - 0x4062a00000000000
Float value- 148   = Hex value - 0x4062800000000000
Float value- 140   = Hex value - 0x4061800000000000
Float value- 135   = Hex value - 0x4060e00000000000
One issue is that the game says you have 150 Hunger. But you might actually have 150.1753 Hunger. The decimal place effects the 7th number in the hex code. So, since we don't know if we have 150 or 150.999 hunger, we can't use a 32bit value to search. But we can use a 16bit search. So, for 150 hunger we can search for 16bit hex 0x00004062. After that, the 16bit value doesn't change for a while until we get to about 140 hunger, when we can search for 0x00004061.

There's probably a conditional you'd need to find, like the codes for the God of War Collection, or back in the day, Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles.
Or, perhaps, you're looking for a pointer to the pointer.
Say you're playing, you find the whatever value, right? Whatever happens and the memory region changes. So, if you already have the pointer for each region, search for the change in region.
Search for unknown value > search equal however many times > memory region for code changes, so search for change > search equal however many times > memory region changes, rinse repeat.
I'm sure it'd take an ungodly amount of time, but it would be theoretically doable.
