If PS Vita was selling well on its own, I'd doubt we'll ever see this.

Actually it was hinted even before the PS4 launch due to the cross functions. Having the PSVita bundled with the PS4 at launch would have been suicide for Sony, since many PS4 buyers have a PSVita (not all, but probably quite a few). But I digress. The Vita does need a sales boost. If this is the necessary thing, I'm all up for it.

when vita gets fully "unlocked" just think about it.. the ultimate emulator machine the psp was a queen, but having a second thumbstick and the vita screen oh mah santa claus....

Damn. I would buy that bundle in a second if I didn't already own a Vita. Oh well. With all the neat stuff to do between Vita and PS4, i've been considering buying a PS4 already as is.
