Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - 12 seconds pause before the game starts booting, affects build 20260811B. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. Hardware Virtual consle lag?

So, i basically got a dumped smash bros 64 vitual consle wad but when i started the game, the audio was laggy for some reason, this isnt an emulator i was playing it on a real wii and SSB is lagging on it, is there a way to fix this?

Your Wii is PAL or USA? and your game (wad)? It looks like you're running the game from another region (USA maybe?) and if your wii is PAL the sound is affected.

Look at the region of the game.

If it's PAL/European, then it's working at a lower speed and it's completely "normal", because it's running at 50Hz.
If it's NTSC, then it should work at the correct speed, but if you're playing it on a PAL console it might be booted at 50Hz. A way around this is forcing NTSC video options through USB Loader GX or something like that.
