My perants wii is about a year old and never wanted me to chip it or anything
And have give it to me to have a look.
All wires are plugged in correct even tried my own and each time I turn on just a black screen the green light stays on and you cam hear the drive.

Is there anything I could

Did you even attempt to softmod it or is it 100% clean right now?

Have your parents successfully used it recently?
Check your TV to make sure you have the correct input set (if able). Ie. if you plugged in composite cables (red, white, yellow), make sure the TV's source is set to something like "AV1" and not "TV" or "HDMI" and whatnot.

They told me it was working then the next day they turned it on and just black screen.
It's never been softmodded so never been touched.
I've checked all leads and tried other ports, it's now at my house and tried my leads and still the same am baffled

Do the wii remotes light up?

If they do, can you turn off your wii with the wii remotes power button?

I believe it may still be under warranty if all else fails

The wii remote flickers on for a bit then go off. So I can turn the wii on with the remote then the remote turns off I've tried syncing it again. I ve found the reciept and it's just over a year old so might try the shop and hope they can sort it

Try turning off your wii by holding down the power button for 5 seconds. and try turning it off by unplugging the power cord FROM THE WII, not from the wall

I know that sounds rediculous, but when my very beat-up gamecube controller would short circuit my Wii, that fixed it
