Hi guys,

I upgraded to 6.60 PRO-C (Fix 3).

All was good, until I started to recover my saves with MagicSave.

During the process I noticed two faint vertical lines on the far left of the PSP and 1 on the far right (please refer to the images).

Now, after searching Google, some people have this issue too, but it's my stupid luck that it has happened when I am in the process of updating it.

Is my screen failing or is there something I can do to fix it? Did I play with a setting or anything? Or is it coincidence it happened when I was updating?

I thought it was the theme, until it happened in game as well.

Hm, after turning it off for 20 minutes, the single line on the second image is gone (but slowly comes back), but the first image's lines still remain.

It just sounds coincidental, and appears to be, for want of a better word, screen damage. There's unlikely to be a simple software fix.

This definitely looks like a hardware issue, not a software one. Try rubbing that area of the screen, gently putting some pressure on it. If that doesn't help, probably the screen ribbon got loose or... well, the screen might be failing.

try checking the screen connector maybe if your lucky its slightly loose but ill wager its busted and ya should replace the screen

It's cheaper to replace the LCD than buy another unit mind you and replacing a PSP Screen is not too bad just watch / read an instructional post or 2 first

I was asked to leave a casino in Vegas years ago, because somebody asked me for change for $20 and I made change for them. The casino claimed it was against they're rules and I had to leave. I feel Karma got them back cause the casino was torn down couple years ago.
