Homebrew VBA-GX 2.2.8 Covers?

Right now I am using Visual Boy Advanced GX 2.2.5 with 2D covers. If I were to download version 2.2.8 and replace the boot.dol. meta.xml and icon.png will I still be able to use the 2d covers?

edit* Is 2.2.8 the most up to date version?

I updated to the newer version and just replaced the boot.dol and took away the ability to see the covers and even change the settings for the path to the covers folder.

I would post that in the thread I linked. That will need to addressed or at least explained.

Download 2.3.1 from the first post in that thread and you will be able to use covers. That is the version I use.
