ROM Hack Using pegaswitch, can i delete save data on accident?

Is there a decent chance I will lose save data, i'm on 1.0 and would like to install fake news, im worried because i saw the guide said your mii would get erased (i dont think i have one). Will it affect profile/saves in any way?

I’ve used it plenty it doesn’t delete any of the save data
