Homebrew using mashers with yellows hbl cia??

Name mashers menu boot.3dsx?

The CIA should only launch a payload (Which itself will look for boot.3dsx, and launch it).

You can hex edit the menuhax payload to look for a different file (Say, menu.3dsx). Or you can do the same to the other app payload that the CIA uses.
how do I do that? Harigp had the answer but he ninja'd it... its annoys me how people hide their solutions after 2 seconds of posting it...

Download a decent hex editor (HxD, for example). Use the search function and search for the string "boot.3dsx". Replace the " boot" part with any other 4 letter string (Such as "menu", so you'd now have the string " menu.3dsx"). You'll need to do this twice (As "boot.3dsx" appears twice in the payload).

Not really, I only do it once(for the first one), and it works for me

I only see only one boot.3ds line in my 10.6.31U payload... I changed it and it freezes at the bluescreen... :(

You replaced "boot.3dsx" with "xxxx.3dsx" in the correct payload? And the "xxxx.3dsx" you wrote in the payload matches the file name on the root of your SD card?

found the 9.2 payload and replaced boot.3dsx with boom.3dsx and it still froze on the damn blue screen...

yes it does match the filename...

Hold on, if you're trying to fix the CIA, you should be editing the 10.6 payload.

I'm not familiar with crashing to a blue screen. Are you sure the only changes you made were to the "boot.3dsx" string?

yes I am sure... I changed boot.3dsx to boom.3dsx and it froze at the bluescreen on boot..

the number string was also in red when I changed boot.3dsx to boom.3dsx

If you're getting a crash, I imagine you somehow broke the payload when you made your change. The only other time I've seen *hax hang are when you don't have a "boot.3dsx" (Or renamed .3dsx) file on root.

is there a prebuilt version of lesshax because, I don't know how to build 3dsx files...
lesshax is just a payload replacement, you dont need to build a .3dsx file, you just rename the boot.3dsx (of your boot manager) to less.3dsx and your homebrew launcher as boot.3dsx. The lesshax payload boots less.3dsx instead and the payload on your emunand for the .cia hbl will launch boot.3dsx.

Just go to the lesshax page, grab the files and replace the payload (called 'ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA12288_old3ds.bin' or something) on your 3ds with the on that corresponds to your sysnand firmware version.
