I bought a used Mario Party 10 because I am looking for Wii u firmware 5.3.2.

The disc itself has the following:
Disc Top: WUP-P-ABAE-USA-0 MODEL NO. WUP-006(USA)
Disc Bottom: WUP-P-ABAE-00 USA S0 (The last zero really looks like an O to me)

However the (BLUE) case they gave me had:
WUP P ABAE USZ 101214A

According to this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.396828/

The disc matches what I need but case doesn't. Since I bought it used, I cannot say for certain the disc belongs to the case that was given to me.

How safe it would be to update from this disc?

The disc is what matters. I'd go with the signifiers on the disc alone. That's my vote.
