Hacking usb stick not working while 1tb hdd works fine

So i formatted by 64gb sandisk glide and 1tb seagate hdd the EXACT same way. Made them fat32 with 32k clusters.
i put a "wbfs" folder in them and transfered the iso of mario galaxy into each of them as wbfs through wiibackupmanager.

I can load the game up perfectly with my 1tb HDD, but i CANNOT load it on my 64gb usb stick. The game shows up, but once i click it, it black screens and forces me to hold my power button until my wii turns off...

Any solutions?? The 1tb hdd is great, ill keep using that myself, but im trying to softmod for my little cousins and theres no reason to buy them a 1tb hdd when they need like 10 games at most

Try NTFS on the Stick and see if that works? If the stick is working fine in a PC it could just not be compatible with the Wii, I haven't ran into any USB sticks that will not work on the Wii but I have ran into some external hard drives that don't work

Maybe also try different cluster sizes? Basically sometimes you just have to experiment in my experience.

Like I said on Discord, compatibility with USB sticks is hit and miss.
One brand and model might work and another might not.

This is to be expected. Flash drives are crappy on the Wii. They're actually pretty crappy just to use with a PC unless you're using them to transport data.

lmfao i love how your signature even says "flash drives suck on the wii." I guess this is a very common problem. Ima try downgrading it to a 32gb flashdrive since those seem to work more often. Worst case scenario ill buy my cousins a 1tb hdd and just call it a day lol

If I knew of a way to fix it I'd do it but I suspect it's an issue with the USB stack in the IOSes.

32gb sandisk glide also doesnt work for me. No clue how it works for 2 people that i know, but it doesnt work for me. Guess ill just buy another 1tb HDD that ive been having success with
