Hacking Usb loader

trying to use the usb loader v1.1

ive got a 4gig pendrive that works not a problem with it,
checked the compatibility list and went and bought a kingston dtmini slim 16gig traveler
can plug it in and it gives a ret -1 error cannot utilise blah blah blah
but i can put my 4gig in and hotswap it to get my 16gig working sort of, anyway of actually fixing it so my 16gig works straight off or is the usb support fairly flawed in what can or cannot be read

you want a clue then there is no clue some will some wont trial and error....there at least you got one answer...
