Hi
I have formatted my external hard drive with WBFS manager 3.0 and I have no problems with it but when i plug it in on the Wii and load up usb loader it says NO WBFS OR FAT/NTFS PARTITION FOUND then it says that YOU NEED TO SELECT OR FORMAT A PARTITION then when you click on format it says non of 4 partitions can be formatted. When I tried this with my usb it worked with no problems.

What loader are you using, have you tried updating it or tried another loader, have you tried putting a game on it first? If all else fails you really should try formatting it to fat32.

it's a message from USBloaderGX.
I don't know why it didn't detect your WBFS partition, maybe WBFS manager 3.0 formated the drive without creating a partition table (WBFS partition starting at sector 0). In that case, udate USBLoader to r1215 (I added support for WBFS without a table).

WBFS format is old and deprecated (unless you know what you are doing).
Use FAT32 or NTFS instead, and it will prevent corrupting your games in the future.

If you are using an old version of the loader, update it (at least to v3.0)
update your cIOS to at least d2x cIOS v8

Nope nothings working I tried everything it doesn't work. Do you think it could have something to do with the external hard drive being for a mac.

I don't know, does MAC use proprietary HDD format?
You need to partition the drive with partition table format in MBR or GPT.
Then create a FAT32 or NTFS partition.

FAT32 is recommended (at least as first partition on the drive) to allow Homebrew and GameCube backup support.

Can someone please help because this is a 1TB hard drive and I don't want it to go to waste. I am thinking of buying a new 32GB USB (SanDisk Glider 32GB USB Flash Drive.) so can u please tell me if this will work for the Wii or not.
