Hacking USB loader no longer working

Hi,

I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I had been using USB loader on my wii for several years and all of the games I loaded worked well. I gave the Wii to a friend and it was working fine for them for a few days and then it stopped working.

I took it back to try to find out why it's not working. I reformatted the hard drive, formatted to FAT 32, put the same loader I had been using in the root folder and added a couple of games using wii backup manager.

When I get into the usb loader screen, everything freezes. To rule out a hard drive problem, I tested using a USB stick and the same thing happens.

I thought that maybe the old usb loader is no longer good so I tested a couple of others. I tested the one on sourceforge and it didn't work. Instead of freezing, I got kicked back to the menu when trying to get into the usb loader screen.

Next, I downloaded CFG USB loader from the official site.
Same thing happened. Everything freezes when I get into the USB loader screen. I noticed that there are dol files on this page so I downloaded cfg70.dol and renamed it boot.dol. This did not change anything.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for replying! I got it to work. A friend sent me the files he uses, which were the files I had originally used. I just had to update the .dol file and it's working again.
