Hacking USB Loader GX Update

I have USB loader GX installed as a channel.
I was able to update from r659 to r833 via the update function in the channel.

I want to update to the R891. The update function in the app, says I have the latest version.

How do I update? Are only certain major revisions enabled in the upgrade function?

Do I need to have any dol in the SD directory???

just download the latest dol from their site.
Replace the one for it in your apps folder.

Do I rename it main.dol or leave it alone.

Look in theGUI settings for the loader. There is an option to install BETA releases and it will update to these

Will it do it over the internet or I have to have the DOL in the apps folder.

If so do i need to rename the dol to main.dol.

either method will work, but if u update manually (using a computer instead of the wii) u have to rename it from ###.dol to boot.dol (not to main.dol)
