So, I'm having an issue and I can't seem to find the solution anywhere. Been searching for hours but nothing so far.

Anyway, today I've dug up the old Wii again for the first time in a year or so. Everything seemed to work fine, including Nintendont when it was booting games from the SD card. I decided that I wanted the wii to autoboot to USB Loader GX, and after a fair bit of fiddling around and updating and whatsoever I got it working.

Now the weird thing is that something somewhere in this process broke either USB Loader GX or Nintendont. To be more specific, it broke Nintendont support in USB Loader GX. When I boot Nintendont from the homebrew launcher it works fine but when I boot a gamecube game from USB Loader, it gets stuck on a black screen. No error, only darkness. Wii games on the other hand seem to work fine.

Now I've tried a couple of thing. Like carefully fiddling around and eventually reinstalling IOS58 which, from what I've read, is important for Gamecube support, switching the loader IOS from 58 to 249 but that didn't work, reinstalling USB Loader GX and Nintendont, which didn't seem to do anything and trying to boot USB Loader from the HBC instead of from autoboot, which also changed nothing.

I'm absolutely stumped at this point and google, reddit and this place haven't given me a solution. So I'm hoping someone over here could help.

I've included a syscheck log down here. My settings for USB Loader and Nintendont seem to be the default ones.

Issue solved! Turned out to be a problem with my USB drive. Loaded my games from the SD without a usb inserted and it worked flawlessly. Let's hope the external HDD coming in sometime this week won't give me the same issue. Thread can be closed
