Hi guys I recently modded a wii with GC ports (It's fully updated) and everything is working fine except for 1 game : House of the dead overkill. It gives a black screen and controller shuts off as well no response.
l'll try to give as much info as I can. Do note that I'm a noob with this so need detailed help ;)
I'm using a Toshiba 1TB HDD split in 2 partitions. My games are WBFS ( a family member copied al his games from his modded wii from years ago to my drive so i kept it WBFS)
So I have 100+ games and added a few to the list myself with Wiibackupmanager. Everything works except HOTD. Tried using another game file too but still no luck. If I recall correctly the first one was PAL but an ISO I converted to WBFS. This is the info for the second game file that I didn't need to convert :
GAME ID: RHOE8P
The house of the dead overkill,
size 3,84GB,
partitions: G
Region:NTSC
*The games that I downloaded myself do have a MD5 Hash, old files don't. Not sure if that matters because the other one I downoaded does work*
file access : read&write,
IOS version: 33
I have a few other games with IOS33 they all work as well.

I also ran a Syscheck here are the results:

The NTSC Version also should work with IOS 250 (with Base 56).
The used cIOS Setup:
IOS249[57] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0

I think I'm on the latest version because I modded my wii a month ago. So does it matter if I change the bases? Will it affect other games? Are there any other things I should try or change then?
Thanks for your reply alexander1970

Hello.
First please try the InGame Settings for House of the Dead Overkill and change the Game´s IOS to 250.
If you already tried 249 and 250 in the Game Settings then maybe it is better to change the Bases please. You can use the d2x cIOS Installer for this:
https://wii.guide/cios.html
Also please check in the USBLoader GX Global Settings - Loader Settings - Loader´s IOS if it is set to 58 or 249.
Please try 249 if it set to 58 and vice versa. This maybe (maybe for sure) it will affect you other Games.
So it is maybe better to only change the Ingame Settings for House of the Dead Overkill only and leave the Loader´s IOS in the General Settings.

Thank you.
