Hey there,

Same problem as many others. The game shows in USB Loader GX, and when I start it, I get a black screen and we go back to Homebrew Menu. The current USB-HDD is the same, that has been successfully running on the Wii for years. To make sure though, it is not a USB issue, I reformatted the drive, checked it for errors and put the games back on. The USB-HDD is not the issue. I am posting my sysReport, in hopes, the problem is with the cIOSes somewhere.
What confuses me is, the system had been working and I haven't changed anything. Never touch a running system. Did not touch the Wii for half a year, wanted to play again and then I got those black screens. So why would the cIOSs not be the right ones in the right places anymore? Hard to understand. Anyway, I would be grateful, if somebody could go over the report and let me know, if I should de-/re-/uninstall anything.

Thank you very much in advance!

Hello,

given your syscheck report, it appears that your CIOS is stubs (empty).
next time use this version of syscheck, to bring up the syscheck report ==>Syscheck

update your syscheck with Modmii from @XFlak ==>Modmii

or use this guide to update your cios ==>CIOS guide

recommend FAT32 external hard drive

Hello jeannotte,

my issue was fixed! Thank you very much!

I think the issue had been, I had had used an older version of d2x cIOS installer. I downloaded the one in the CIOS guide and followed it again, and then it worked. I had had followed the guide the other day, but with an older version of d2x cIOS installer and it downloaded the files and all looked good, but then it did not work, now it did.

Thank you for putting in the time to help others. It is much appreciated!

This only happens with Wii titles for some reason. Not sure why the double-post happened.

I started 'fresh' by following wii.guide, including what I assume is the latest version of d2x cIOS Installer.

UPDATE: It looks like forcing NTSC 60 in the USB Loader GX's settings got me past the black screen.
