Sorry, I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, but I did search and didn't find what I was looking for.

I am currently using USB Loader 1.5 and also NeoGamma r8b7 (I think...)

Anyway, I'm playing Wii ISOs fine using this method and wondered if there was a USB loader for Gamecube ISOs too? Last time I investigated playing Gamecube backups it was a little more complicated than WII backups. Has it got easier? I would really like to just store my GC backups on the same external hard drive I have my WII ISOs stored on.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Use the f*cking search? Not going to happen in the next time, I'll even say not going to happen ever.

Yeah, like I said, I searched the forum. Perhaps I didn't hit on the right keywords, I tried searching forum posts for "wii usb gamecube loader".

But thanks for the reply, you arrogant prick.

EDIT : And for your information, most those links in that search are for people asking if it is possible to use a USB Loader on Gamecube hardware, which isn't what I was asking at all. I wanted to play GC backups on my Wii, via a USB loader. I'm surprised it's not possible.

don't get all butthurt. This is just something that has been asked over and over again. The reason it's so difficult to pull off is because when the Wii switches to GC mode, it severs ties to all Wii related hardware like wifi and usb ports, thus GC mode can't access the usb ports until someone does some serious hacking, which may never happen.

If you believe the hype, the Wode should work....

is there ever any chance of accessing the drive like how a drivekey works, only without the hardware? what i mean is intercept the data being sent to the dvd drive, much like drivekey does or the wode will do as well but with software...i doubt its possible and im sure someone has looked into it

Cheers for the reply mate. That clears it up a bit better.

if you want to run gc from hdd, get a wode (when it's released)

Wode was already released. I think if you're a careful person you could probably install it. It comes at a steep price though - $150 usd.
