Not sure if this is a known issue or if I'm suddenly doing something wrong. On both Goldleaf and OG tinfoil, installation starts for a few seconds then hangs. The system doesn't crash, it just freezes and doesn't respond to anything until I press the home button, then it crashes. Over numerous tries attempting to troubleshoot the issue, this has a 100% rate of failure.

I'm on 7.0.1, AMS 0.8.7 via latest Kosmos. USB install worked fine and dandy for months when I was on 6.2.0/0.8.6 using both Goldleaf and Tinfoil (since Goldleaf has an issue with installing updates via USB when an update has been installed before).

The weird thing is when I updated to 7.0.1/0.8.7 a few days ago, I immediately utilized USB installation successfully through Goldleaf. Neither my configuration or setup has changed, so I'm not sure where the issue came from.

Aluminum Foil is the best and easiest IMO follow this tutorial and get the links on youtube.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a try later when I'm available. You're thinking this is a bug with the specific installers I'm using and not something deeper, more general?

I have no idea but I used to have hell until I started using Aluminum Foil I think python is a PITA and Aluminum Foil doesn't require python you just install the zadig driver.

Yeah, Goldleaf 0.5. Although I just USB installed a title earlier and it completed successfully. It's so strange. To my knowledge, I didn't change anything. I won't consider this issue "solved" yet because I really don't understand why it didn't work before and why it works now when I made zero changes.

Seems you ignored my advice, oh well.

Actually it looks like the AluminumFoil video got taken down, must have been taken down in the last day or so.
