Hacking usb 2.0 or not

I'm having trouble using SMB with wifi on MplayerCE, and think it may have something to do with the USB1 driver because, as I have read, the USB2 driver also fixes some problems with WIFI.

Basically - How can I determine if my USB port is 2.0 or 1.1/1.0 ?

I run Configurable Backuploader without any problem....

Any help greatly appreciated,

1) Use WiiMC
2) Update/Install your Homebrew Channel to 1.0.8
3) Update/Install IOS58 with that Installer

Try again.

Sorry, i don't understand. Does that mean that IOS58 includes usb 2.0 wifi drivers? Did somebody benchmark this?

Tried WIImc - also no luck

HBC is at 1.0.8

Loaded IOS58....

still nothing - do I have to reinstall HBC ?

Apparently my smb shares work, because I can access them from another windows machine.
That also rules out the WRT54 router running DD-WRT.
Also, the WII has internet connection 'cos I can see the news and wetherforecasts...

Any more ideas ?
