The 10 NES Virtual Console games are as follows:

Super Mario Bros.™
Donkey Kong Jr.™
Balloon Fight™
Ice Climber™
The Legend of Zelda™
Metroid™
NES Open Tournament Golf
Wrecking Crew
Zelda II - The Adventure of Link
Yoshi
sauce

Not too exciting. But Metroid should prove fun.

This was actually confirmed in the JPN post by someone, but not a bad thing to post it like this. Maybe merge all into one since the games are the same for the EU release also

Ehhhh, am I the only one who thinks thy even with these and the GBA titles that we (ho bought the 3DS early) are not getting our $80 worth?

What do you mean "Not too exciting"?
These are top quality titles, and I was expecting them to be some obscure titles no one ever heard of.

Probably not, but the worth of these games altogether is more than that of $80, and moreover it was pretty obvious that Nintendo would preform a price drop soon after release, we only have ourselves to blame.

I like them all except for:

NES Open Tournament Golf
Zelda II - The Adventure of Link
Yoshi

Oh well, 7 [good] free games is still neat. Not to mention, we still have the GBA games coming eventually. If they don't include Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald, THEN I'll be pissed.

We'll get a Famicom Wars and Fire Emblem collection before we get a Mother collection.

And those will take their time. Probably right after the PS63, XBOX 720 and WiiiiiiU have been released. :3

Bleh...was hoping for Kirby. But whatever, i never finished Zelda 2 before, and always wanted to play through Metroid again, so whatever.
Forget everything you know about Zelda games when you play Zelda 2.
Aside from playing as Link, and using a sword, there's no familiar gameplay mechanics or characters.

Hell, the game has an EXP system.

Well, It's not that bad..

@RupeeClock
Yeah, Zelda 2 really isn't Zelda. Also,

I AM ERROR

At least the 3DS VC has true save states not just a temporary suspend point. Ok, so it only has one state slot and you have to use a key combination to enable it (because loading a state will overwrite your in game SRAM save) but they actually did it. I wonder if they will add manual frameskip/overclocking to the Wii U VC or if that will come to the 3DS too.

FYI, the early NES releases will not have save states, just the suspending.
We get the full features later for free, when they make them commercially available.

Think maybe, they might release just one GBA game soon just to let us know they're coming?
Or give us the full list of the GBA games too?
I hope they do one them

Why are people not happy at Zelda II? Is it really that bad??

Coming to the list, all of them are good enough for me. And getting Zelda I & II is a big bonus for me because I've never played these titles of Zelda. Well I wasn't a fan of Zelda back then, always thought it's some lame ass over-rated Nintendo game, but after playing OoT, TP and abit of MC, my thought of it sucking averted.

It's a masterpiece franchise, and I could proudly keep all Zelda titles along with Shadow Of The Colossus
