Hacking Updating Wii with cIOS installed?

Hey guys,

I'm looking into installing cIOS on my 3.3E wii. I know, its currently up-to-date. I have the homebrew channel installed, which im not concerned about so thats irrelivant. Anyway, i want to know, if i install cIOS36, and nintendo releases a new firmware, is it safe to update? Like, i assume it will just overwrite cIOS and i will have to reinstall it yeah? Or not? If you guys could tell me about your experiences with updating while cIOS is installed that would be awesome

Updating from 2.0-3.3 with cIOS installed is safe.
If there will be 3.4 and it'll become not safe to update then you'll know it...just check GBAtemp daily

im sorry but i cant help, but i havent heard of cIOS. what does it do and do i need a chip?

Thanks for the info. Just wondering, say nintendo created a 3.4 firmware, and i had cIOS installed, and i updated to it, will 3.4 overwrite 3.3 cIOS, so that i basically no longer have it installed? Or will cIOS still be installed? ( Lol, just concerned about bricking my wii

)
