Hacking Updating wii question

Say I updated my Wii to 3.3 and then a game packed with the 3.3 update is inserted in my Wii. Will this make my Wii update again? I am installing a WiiKey 2 soon and I want to be sure I do not brick my Wii so I would rather not be forced to update.

if you do get forced to update, then you can remove the update in the disk w/ brick blocker.

if you've already updated to 3.3, and your getting an update message, it's best to wait.. and not update.

edit: if your up-to-date with 3.3 wii music should definately not ask your to update again... unless you're already modded or something it could be asking you to install a different region update, and don't do it.

Thats exactly my situation: I have 3.3U, I did the wad fix, then used custom 51 and patchmii, and its still asking for an update for Wii Music. I have the original Wiikey, and the game is NTSC, so what gives ????

I actually have a wiikey 2 installed I wouldn't update with wii music best to wait.

Wiikey 2 I believe does not support the function to block "system updates" from games. Whenever I make a back up of a game it tells me to do system update. I burn again but I patch the game with don't brick my wii so it blocks the system update on the disk.

Edit : yes mysticwaterfall is correct their is now protection for system updates from games. I'll test it out soon enough without patching the iso with dont brick my wii

The latest fw upgrade for wiikey2/d2lite/d2pro is supposed to block updates. Don't know how well it works, haven't tried it yet.

If there is a problem, just use wiigators backup-loader .3 beta (or wait for gamma) and you shouldn't have a problem at all... word is it doesn't allow update partition to run from the disc anyhow.
