Hacking Updating Sys 11.6

I currently have an O3DS xl with b9s installed through dsiware. My question is , is it safe to update Sys 11.6.0 to the latest firmware using the 3Ds updated ?

Edit2: Wait the latest is 11.6.0-39 so you don't need an update. But if another update does come out then yes, it's safe.
