Hacking Updating game version in Emunand

Hey guys, quick question.

I'm adept at installing the exploit, switching between DS and 3DS mode, and setting up Emunand and what my limitations are.

One question that I can't seem to find an answer to is:

If a ROM requests a game update (press Y to go to eShop for update, e.g. Pokemon X/Y) is that safe while I am in emunand, or is this to be avoided at all costs?

Could not find any conclusive information regarding this. Thanks!

Its perfectly safe to install updates for games from the eshop, however, they typically only work when the rom is from the same region as your 3ds. You can manually install them by going to the eshop and searching for update if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Great, that's the confirmation I needed. All my games are USA only, so that wouldn't be an issue for me. Thank you
