Hello! Firstly, thank you so much for everyone who has worked on this tool. I appreciate you all! Secondly, I have some questions and was hoping someone might have the answers from their own experiences. I am creating my own custom code list .txt for Pokémon BD and want to know of issues ahead of time if possible to avoid crashes.

1. Does it matter which order the codes are listed inside the .txt? Meaning will having a code listed & enabled above another one that's enabled cause a priority issue or crashes?
2. Does it matter how many codes are listed inside the .txt? Meaning will having too many listed (not enabled at the same time) cause EdiZon-Overlay/Tesla Menu/Atmosphere to crash?
3. Is there a file size limit for the .txt itself that can cause crashes if the limit is exceeded? My .txt is currently ~15KB
4. Does anyone know or has anyone tested making a submenu within a submenu in the .txt file? Will this work, are there any limitations, or will this cause crashes?

For example, if I wanted to better organize my "Misc." Codes submenu section into separate submenus for like codes. Group the "Contest" and "Safari" codes into separate submenus under the existing "Misc." submenu.

Like this:

[--SectionStart:Misc--]
00000000 00000000 00000000

[Code 1]
00000000 00000000 00000000

[Code 1 (OFF)]
00000000 00000000 00000000

00000000 00000000 00000000

[Code 2 (OFF)]

[--SectionEnd:Contest--]

[--SectionEnd:Misc--]
00000000 00000000 00000000

Thanks so much for everyone's time and input beforehand! It's much appreciated!

4. since you already have it all layed out, why not just copy and paste it to any of your cheat file and see if it works or not, most of us would not know

1. In general it doesn't matter which code is listed first, unless the cheats are closely related. Then you'll need to experiment to ensure that they are all working properly. (Also, try not enabling too many cheats at the same time.)

2. I've had no problems with my numerous BotW & Pokemon Arceus/Scarlet cheats.

3. Not sure if there's a limit. 20KB might be the largest I've tried.

4. Sub-menus (Subheadings) work. They're basically just a dummy cheat code. Just make sure not to enable them.

I will give it a try. I just wanted to see if anyone had an answer and knew if it would work/crash beforehand. Thank you.

Thanks for your response! I'll try it out and see if I run into any issues. :)

I've been using Edizon for 1.5 years and I just encountered my first Edizon+Atmosphere crash.

I simply opened Edizon by pressing "L Down R3" as usual, clicked "EdiZon" and it crashed the whole Switch before I managed to click "Cheats" menu.
Unfortunately I forgot take a photo of the crash log, but I just want to inform everyone that it can happen.

My Edizon is 1.0.5, updated it along with FW16.02. It crashed when I was trying to open Cheats for Teslagrad 2

I want to add some design input as well. It'd be better if the "Edizon" menu, which leads to "Cheats" sub-menu is on the very top of the layout, the first one after you open Edizon, not the 2nd one (requires one extra action: Down D-Pad) since that's pretty much the reason why you'd open it. Just some QoL feedback.

sorry im having a bad day im just nearly to be blind today my eyes can read but my mind cant process it

anyone have this overlay crashing his console?
Me and I still haven't fixed the issue

Your description is not enough. Was that in docked mode? Did you even see Edizon menu before crash? Did you know about recent libnx update that fixes overlay crashing when closing (mainly in docked mode?). This is why we have posts like this:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/tesla-the-nintendo-switch-overlay-menu.557362/page-72#post-10121629

1. I presss L + Down + R3
2. Click EdiZon 1.0.5
3. the overlay just DISAPPEARED
4. and then it crashed the Atmosphere

This happens so often... I wanted to take a photo, but when I tried to make it crash again, it didn't crash haha...

I think it's the same issue as this thread
https://github.com/proferabg/EdiZon-Overlay/issues/12

I already have the latest ovlmenu and EdiZon Overlay from here

Edizon Overlay from releases doesn't have libnx update. But this sounds like you also don't have latest tesla menu.

Version 1.0.6 was just pushed with the latest libnx and libtesla. I'm sorry to all of you who were waiting for so long. I have been largely away and haven't been able to build a new release. I am still debugging the other crashing issue too from not backing all the way out of the overlay and opening it back up and crashing.

Thanks a lot for your effort.

Pushed version 1.0.7 last night which should fix the other crashing issue. The desync in cheats when hiding and showing the overlay has also been fixed as well as a new feature to disable submenus for those who asked for the feature to be added. This will ignore all submenu tags in the cheat file and just show the cheats in one list like versions 1.0.1 and below did.

Any new update for firmware 17.0.0, console crashes after pressing A button in Edizon Overlay, Crash message
Error Code: 2001-0123 (0xf601)
Program: 420000000007E51A
Firmware: 17.0.0
After I believe it's the Edizon folder, as when I delete from my SD card the overlay doesn't work.

Has this been fixed?

Just pushed version 1.0.8 which fixes temperature rendering on HOS 17+ and added a feature to enable cheats by default when launching the overlay.
