3G is a speed, not a phone. if you mean the iPhone 3G, be more clear.

Ok lemme make it more clear i own an iPhone 3G and was on JB 4.0. I used the latest version of redsnow and used it to update to 4.2.1. Now that i've updated my phones acting weird, ive even uploaded a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKsTvQIu0Xo

Whats weirder the settings are still saying its on 4.0?

redsn0w doesn't update your phone. You need to update/restore in iTunes first.

    This.
    Update using a clean ispw.
    Then use redsnow.
