Hacking Update O3DS XL from 6.1.0-12E

Hi all,

any suggestions on how to safely update this O3DSXL? It´s on 6.1.0 and i want it to be on 9.1.

Tried to start browserhax, but it didn´t work at all.
Browserversion is 1.7552.

I thought maybe update 10.6, then downgrade to 9.1 ?

Did anyone manage to succesfully do this ?

if you does know how to do an hardmod (soldering stuff) than yes, otherwise, just install rxtools 2.7.

Won´t hardmod it as it´s not mine would love to install rxtools, but without entrypoint for hax? Did i miss a thing here somewhere ?

didn´t do this on a o3ds before, so i gotta ask. basically it´s like preparing sdcard for CFW install, then enter the website and the magic is gonna happen. correct?

1. setup sd card (rxtool 2.5 or 2.6!)
2.go on the website
3. click "launch rxtools.dat"
4. keep holding "R"
5.ask someone else to "how to continue"

after it should be just installing the rest as always i suppose. I just needed the entrypoint. Tried to launch hoembrewmenu from that site and the browser just crashes. any ideas ?

it's normal that browserhax don't work because it doesn't exist for 6.X

Same problem for me but at least I did it !
I was in 6.1 and now 9.2 !

I used rxTools 2.5.2 and launcher rxTools.dat with http://www.reboot.ms/3ds/
Then injected FBI on HealthApp on SysNand
Then Go to fbi and installed Sysupdater.cia
Then go back to home menu, Sysupdated created a shortcut on the menu, launch it
And now click upgrade and wait for CIA installation.

PS : You must download 9.2.0-20E(full).zip before ! (if you get an EU console)

thanks, done that allready, just installed rxtools, (runs ) and now moving on. I´ll report back asap

WAIT! You have to launch sysupdater ONLY while you are on DEVMODE/PASTAMODE or you'll BRICK your console 100%.

Install rxTools as you know
Create a folder called "updates" on the root of your SD within ALL the cias of the update which you want install
Install a cia installer on your sysNand
Install sysupdater.cia on your sysNand
Turn OFF-ON your console (you can even enter-exit into your settings, in this way the 3ds will reboot automatically on your sysNand)
Launch rxtools in your usual way (browser/MSET) holding L and R buttoms
While you are on the main menu of rxTools, move right to the ADVANCED SETTINGS section
(CRUCIAL) Launch DEVMODE/PASTAMODE, (it looks identical to the sysNAND)
Proceed with the update without touch/close your 3ds

No problem, 1 or 2 days ago thanks to the same misinformation another guy have bricked his console. When I wrote as you have to proceed with the update was already too late. Happy that I'm came just in time.

so a short update:
everything worked fine, installed fbi, devmen and hbl. so at which point point do i entere devmode to install sysupdater ?
I do run sysupdater ONLY in Devmode in rxtools. correct so far ?

But wait for confirmation
