Hacking Update nag in emunand

actually I already got the update nag. I'm just wondering how to get rid of it. some people tell me to do a factory reset in 8.1 emunand. some poople tell me to copy back my 8.1 backup. I don't know which one is the correct way of doing this

It's pointless to attempt it is what I'm saying. It'll just come back in a heartbeat.

both will work, but if you format you loose any downloaded game updates, and restoring will only work if its a backup of 8.1 after downloading the updates but before the update downloaded.....if you dont play online and dont care about eshop updates and downloads, just format and turn off your wifi for the meantime

Tell him sternly to never update it. If he updates anyway, blister his fucking ass until the skin is peeling from bone, and make him get a job to pay you back so you can buy another 4.5U 3DS. I don't even care if it's child slave labor.

It was just a light-hearted joke, but telling him not to update it is all you really need to do/

Yeah but I don't trust a 6 year old with that
But now that I know that it will only affect emunand if he should update from the nag screen I am not so concerned.

My safety net is something similar to what's been mentioned. I just don't have any internet access configured in my Sysnand. The Sysnand can't go online. So it can't update. Easy as that.
