So I've been given a SX OS key that I don't want, since I'm not interested in backups.

Any suggestions on where I can donate it, ideally in the interests of the homebrew community in general (not piracy)?

Homebrew is already free to use in the SX OS even without a Code.
The only point of the Code are "Backups".

Make a giveaway or sell it i guess.

I would be interested in trying it first hand. You should probably do a giveaway as others suggested. Maybe put everyone who on a random spinner or pick a number or something.

At this point anyone who hasn't bought it yet but still wants the code has some sort of moral issue with paying for piracy. They should thus have to compromise their dignity for having given up on their morals.

And if u don't have the money for a $27 code then sell your switch and feed yourself.
