Thanks pune. I can't wait to try this out in a month.

Off-topic: USB Loader games will stay in their normal spot- they aren't mandated to be moved to USB/games, are they?

Glad to see that the necessary stuff was finally given out.

However, with the modded USB Loader GX I'm having issues. The loader shows 4 copies of each game it lists... aka:

A Boy and His Blob
A Boy and His Blob
A Boy and His Blob
A Boy and His Blob
Animal Crossing Wii
Animal Crossing Wii
Animal Crossing Wii
Animal Crossing Wii

It also doesn't show all of the games I have, only maybe 30 or so... though they're almost all displayed 4 times each. The total games number is correct at 122 (all games are legally owned by me and my roommates, for the record). Then, when I launch a game, it only brings me back to the homebrew channel.

The modded Wiiflow does the same, but brings me back to the system menu when it crashes.

The games were dumped using DiscEx and all are currently working using the standard SNEEK+DI.

page 16.

i need some help. no matter which game i choose, it starts monster hunter 3 on wiiflow. monster hunter 3 was the first game i got on my drive. how can i fix that? and some games show up without cover and title. they work fine with a regular usb loader.

page 16 ????

don't see anything, oh wait i have to email at [email protected]
that's right ???

for your question, someone had similary problem, and iirc he's deleted the slot.bin, and created a new one with new text document renamed slot.bin.

EDIT: ok finaly get it
you have to be motivated to have puneek working, but it's fun and instructive.
Thanks to all contributors of this great mod.

is there a quick tutorial i can use to get me into puneek a little faster... im flying blind here...

no readme.txt or instructions in the files provided by pune dont really help much... or maybe i just fail at this sort of thing?

EDIT: *pune... my bad.

somehow sneek didnt create a slot.bin on my hdd even though i had a sneek folder in the root of it.

ok i tried it. but having a slot.bin in my sneek folder, doesnt let my puneek start at all but having a black screen. and im not quite sure if slot.bin is the solution to my problem. GX doesnt start any games at all, but returns me to hbc (i dont care about gx anyway).

so if the game doesnt work, it just starts any game that works??

i just checked my nand again, and i should have the right ios for the games installed. even if i click on that stupid cooking mama, it starts monster hunter tri.

pretty much tells you what to do if you wanna compile the stuff yourself.
attempting to use those precompiled GX.dol and wiiflow.dol files that are provided, and again, doenst really explain what i am meant to do with them... gonna mess around with it a little more...

use the sneek+di guide with page 15 and you should be fine. replace your wiiflow or gx dol with the new ones by giantpune.

more informations to my problem: the games that dont show up are sin&punishment2, let's tap and disney sing it hsm3. neither on wiiflow nor on gx. im using wiiflow.
furthermore no matter which game i start, it starts monster hunter tri (the first game i converted to a sneek friendly format). all the right ios for the games should be installed. the games work fine without sneek. i'm on 4.2E. if i have more than about 10 games on my drive, it wont even let me boot (maybe because of one corrupted game?)
i think my problem is related to this one

right now, just trying to install SNEEK+DI... and getting a black screen... following this (http://gbatemp.net/t218725-sneek-di-quick-guide) tut...
Used These Steps:
-How to use the SNEEKInstaller by crediar
-How To Achieve a NAND for use with SNEEK

just getting black screens... even after 5 mins... now leaving it longer... will try it again later.
sucks to be me i guess.

also this step:
-File Structure for SNEEK, SNEEK+DI and UNEEK.
requires "sd:\font.bin"... there is no font.bin anywhere... not even on my proper dump...

again, sucks to be me i guess... anyone shed light on this?

uhm.. you got the puneek files right..(with boot2.bin and di.bin)?
now just put them in the right folders as explained in the following:

fogbank said:
Quick and dirty to verify that the pune modules are working (USB):
  • Must have boot2_USB.bin on SD root (as boot2.bin).
  • Must have boot2_USB.bin on USB root (as boot2.bin).
  • Must have di.bin on USB root.
  • Do not need di.bin on SD.
  • Do not need bootmii folder on USB.
  • Must have working NAND dump on USB.
  • Do not need NAND on SD.
  • Must have correctly installed game on USB
SNEEK will run the NAND off of the USB and load a game from USB in the disc channel. This worked for me. SNEEK apparently created 7 folders on my SD (import, meta, shared1, shared2, sys, ticket, and tmp). All were empty except shared1 which had a 0K content.map file.
This does not include anything about modifying current USB loaders to work with SNEEK.

Edit:
The folders must have been created when I was testing different combinations of files on the SD and USB devices. This does not happen when the correct files are used.

truth be told, didnt do this step (or i did before but didnt know what i was doing)... however, SNEEK+DI doesnt work in its stock form... which is the first problem i would have thought...
but i will try this anyway... got nothing to loose i guess... bar time.

also, will it boot without a USB plugged in?

All files can be acquired, including the font.bin file, in my quick guide located in my sig. Best think of this as a form of uneek. Delete all previous files related to GX and any GX config files found on the stick. make sure your NAND work with some form of sneek first before trying this.
