I updated the wii console to 4.2 using waninkoko's updater, I played a game on it last night, everything worked until this morning when the wii would turn on (to green) , but the video wouldn't come up (NO SIGNAL), I searched it up such as unplugging both ends of the power cable and replugging, I took out the CMOS battery, but I think the Wii is completely bricked. Since i still have the original receipt the store's refund policy states that I can get a refund/ replacement. I was thinking about a replacement, but do you think I will be caught for having Moded IOSs on my old wii?

See thats why you shouldnt trust Wanky's updaters.
If they can't boot it, they cant see whats on it, unless they crack it open, attach a nand flasher, and somehow dump the keys + filesystem.
