Nintendo calls everyone vilolates their license as pirates including TT. TT don't feel themself as pirates and call gbatemp board as board for pirates. gbatemp calls everyone who is downloading games without purchase as pirates..

A cIOS installer has to be seen different than a cIOS wad, you know that? No official cIOS installer or sneek comes bundled with software from nintendo. Well it depends on your look at libogc of course, i think Marcan has a different point of view about that than most other devs.

I expected that some peple will start to complain about it. That was most hesitating point of whole release. Well, i hadn't gbatemp-compatible release yet. I'm outlining "gbatemp-compatible", because have you nintendo code inside or just patcher - all these installers are ILLEGAL anyway.
How long cIOS/SNEEK are exist? Were they as "soft and white" as now?
Everyone needs some time. It's hard to make sofisticated patch which will do wad from original binary. May be i could make IOS installer as cIOS has. I would if i would have some time.

When I read this topic when it was first released a couple days ago (not to mention I was highly anticipating this release since the other thread), I was waiting for Sorge's version of the nand emulator before downloading anything. Then Sorge released it and was trolled for his source. I saw the same thing happening in this thread that happened in X-flax's thread. I come to log in today to see that the source trolls have won once again, I knew I should have downloaded it =P

What upsets me the most is that people all day go around GBAtemp telling people what is moral and what is not. There is no such thing as true morality, nothing is always right and always wrong. Society's morality is created by people with power and usually only there to benefit the people with power. The events that happened in this thread shows what morality truly is...

I'm not saying it's wrong (as nothing is truly wrong or right) to uphold society's morality, what I am trying to say is that unless you are a policeman, don't pull people over. In other words, it's ok to ask for the source code but don't over do it. Sure it may be against some rule that someone made to not release the source code, but unless you are a moderator, there is no reason to turn into a troll about it. The reasons are obvious, in cases like this, it's just an annoyance of barriers someone must run through now.

Nintendo complains about piracy but they give us copyable disks for their games. What do they expect us to do?

Yea, SNEEK doesn't really contain any Nintendo code. It just replaces all of nintendo's code in the module with its own.

Well, you do have to download a decrypted system menu in order to get sneak working.

SNEEK replaces ES and FFS modules (the same as my NAND Emulator does), but there is still Nintendo kernel remained inside.

Project is not dead. When i will be ready to release source code, then i will release everything.
I already know that source code is important, the project itself - not.

To people who likes clean licenses: Reverse-engineered code CANNOT be GPL, even if somebody put GPL label on it. They should read Nintendo (and other's) licenses while they were violating it. If you are reading assembler code and put it into C/C++ code it doesn't become your own code and especially GPL. If somebody got source code of Windows and put GPL label on it, will it be really GPL? I think many people would say "NO". But what if somebody will rewrite C code having disassembled binary and will put GPL label on it -will it be GPL? Nope. It's basically the same as previous case regardless how much time and effort has been spent to make it. That's 99% low level code of Wii GPL homebrew.
There is no PURE GPL Code in my projects. So, i've violated rules of some one's who violated Nintendo's rules?

Even though i didn't refuse to release source code later, some kids couldn't wait.
May be later they will grow up and will understand what they labeled as GPL is actually violation of both GPL and Nintendo licenses.
Nintendo has more important things to do and protect. If N doesn't sue for hijaking their code which amazigly became GPL it doesn't mean there is no violation...

If i were them (tueidj and Co.) i would keep it low profile and wouldn't label pirated code as GPL.
