be sure to set your loaders configs to System default not game default if you are trying different region game , even try to force your region on it , and see how that goes

Nope, still froze. Around 20% this time.

On freeze, the light turns partway off but immediately resumes full intensity instead of truly blinking (which happens when it functions normally).

is this the only game with the problem or other games as well ?

i have a problem with loading my usb stick. I am currently using a 16gb Kingston Data Traveler 100 which was specified to work according to the list of compatibility. I formatted the stick using WBFS Manger 3.0 but every time I load it on the usb loader it askes me to Format saying the WBFS partitions cannot be found.
If anyone can help me, it will be much appreciated...

Thank you

Finally I make it work but leave the flicking part on the TV.
Are you running a NTSC game on a PAL Wii (or vice-versa)?

Can you post a screenshot of the drive in the Windows Computer Management/Disk Management program? Here's an example of my Sandisk Cruzer Micro 4GB:

Notice that it doesn't say FAT32 or NTFS and has a drive letter assigned? Yours should look the same.

mine looks pretty much like that but it still doesnt want to detect partitions on my wii.. telling me to format everytime i plug it in... here is a screenshot

I realise that it's probably impossible, but would I be able to install and play my import games in any way? I can play my import games usually with Gecko, but obviously I can't run Gecko in the middle of using USB loader.
Is there any way around it?

USB loader = region free

Quick question: I currently have the original cIOS249 (installed for the WiiGator Backup Loader 0.3 beta/gamma). I see in the readme that cIOS36_rev10 installs as cIOS249. Does installing cIOS36_rev10 replace the original IOS or is recommended that I delete the original before installation?

I've been using gamma til now when i recently got interested in usb loaders. But I have no idea where to start. I see all these different USB loaders, which I know do the same thing. I just wanna make sure i have everything installed before i get one. So what is required to use a usb loader

(and no offense Big Moe, but your thread has a lot of information kinda squeezed together.. I appreciate what you've done, but could you make it a little easier to read?)

Hi guys,

I've got a problem. I've got IOS36 installed on my 3.2E Wii. My HDD (Lacie USB2.0 250GB) has got one partition for Wii(25GB) and another partition(225GB) for other stuff. The USBLoader starts fine but when I'm trying to mount the HDD I get an error (ret= -6).

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Noticed this thread is also for support for the loaders, so I'll post here...

I'm running OggZee Configurable USB Loader (cfg31c) using cIOS rev 13 on System Menu 4.0U with a Verbatim SmartDisk 500GB HDD with two partitions (one FAT32 for covers and config, and one for WBFS).

The USB Loader works insofar as the HDD is detected and I can install games to the HDD via the Wii and WBFS Manager 3.0.1 and play my games off the HDD with no spindown issues.

The problem that I'm having is that after I'm done playing a game and I press the Home button on the Wiimote and go back to the Wii System Menu, when I go back into the Home Brew Channel and load up the USB Loader and try to load another game, it just hangs at the game loading. No error message or anything even after 20 minutes of sitting there. I have to hard-reset the Wii and go back into the USB Loader and everything works okay until I exit the game and I try to load up another game.

Does anyone else have this problem of not being able to load multiple games in one sitting without having to hard-reset the Wii between games?

Thanks!

That is a known problem with cios rev13.
You can try other cios revisions, but those can give you other problems, no revision is perfect

Hi, I'm not sure if here is where I should be asking this.
Today my wii stopped "swallowing" discs, so I can't introduce discs. But I had been using the USB loader 1.5 for 2 days with a HDD, and it worked perfectly. So I thought I could keep using my games with usb loader, but when I try to boot a game: Black screen for a few seconds -> Message of "An error has occurred please press the eject button and remove the disk. Turn the wii console off and refer to the manual"
I thought the usb loader wouldn't be affected by the problem of my wii not being able to swallow discs. Does someone knows of a solution?

Thanks oggzee. I downgraded to rev10 and it's working great so far.
