Ok so i unzipped the offline package for ULTIMATE System Menu 4.0 Guide Offline Downgrade/Upgrade .

Run prepare.bat dl all files with nusd.exe choosing 418=4.0E
and did the same for 290=3.2E option

so i got both ready to go depending on which is best ?

am hoping to get some advice on
system menu 4.0E and 3.2E
which 1's better ?
pro's/con's for
4.0E and 3.2E

id like to use a usb hdd in the near future to play games from and the
i dont care about rock band if it makes any diff

plus i spose i can always run this again to upgrade/downgrade in the future .
plus what would happen if ninty put out 4.1E as i do the online part of upgrade/downgrade ? any thoughts on this

Many thanks

Just go with 4.0. There's no longer really any reason to stay at 3.2. As long as you have a cIOS installed beforehand you're not really limited in any way and can always easily downgrade back to 3.2 if you REALLY need to. I suggest just doing 4.0 if you're using the offline guide as it's kinda written assuming you're installing 4.0.

Also even if you're doing the online part of the guide and Nintendo released 4.1 it wouldn't make a difference because you're using Waninkoko's 4.0 updater application to update to 4.0 not Nintendo's updater.

Nothing to fear with 4.0. I followed the same guide on a 3.4E Wii a week ago with no ill effects.

If you go with 3.2, eventually you are going to have to upgrade anyway, might as well get it over and done with.
