Hacking Question TX NX 1.1 & Fuse burning

So on the TX page it says 1.1 wont burn fuses. My question is is this a native feature or do i need to have another way to do this?

Example if I'm on 2.x and install auto rcm mode and boot into cfw mode to update to 5.x will i not burn fuses? Also how about classic mode?
