Hacking Trying to replace the Gateway/rxTools CFW with Luma3DS! Help?

OK so it doesn't completely work. Only partially - because it never writes its config file.
Each time I launch it, it asks for settings.
When I press start, it does reboot to the main menu, which is supposed to mean redNAND, but when I go to settings I never get the "emu"... probably because Luma assumes I haven't asked for it (since settings were not saved).

EDIT: scratch that.
When I copy the empty luma/payloads from the installer, the HBL doesn't start anymore.

You can check your SD is OK using h2testw (do a read & write check).
I remember someone else having the same problem as you (the config file never saving) but I don't remember what the solution was :-(
I think it was @blueyy (if this was you can you tell us what the solution was?)

Thanks for the link!
Actually, it turns out I goofed (I guess). With Luma3DS version 5.5 I needed to both:
- create the empty folders /sd/luma/payloads
- copy the firmware.bin into /sd/luma, as proposed by the threads above.

One more step forward. :) Thanks for your help!

Since I got good support,I'm going to try pushing my luck. :)
I'm still following the Plailect guide, part 5, section VI, step 20.
It's trying to make me re-inject hs.app (I'm not sure why since FBI has already replaced it?)
Problem:
1 - The guide didn't tell me to put that hs.app back in the SD card, so I doubt it could work. So I'm taking the initiative of copying back "hs.app"and "hs.enc" into the "file9" folder.
Note: I've already noted that, since we're told to use decryp9WIP, we auto-replace "decrypt9" with "file9" when we read the guide. No problem. ;)
2 - When I try to inject as instructed, it doesn't let me choose my file but tries something automatic which fails:
Code:
Searching title "Health&Safety"...
Method 1: Search in title.db...
Found title 0004001000021300
TMD0 found at 1271C000, size 2868b
APP0 found at 12724000, size 832kB
No usable file found
Health&Safety Inject: failed!

Should I redo the whole FBI hs app thing? Or should I just ignore this step sinceit's already there anyway?

EDIT: I'm just going to ignore this step. :) I'm guessing the tutorial wanted to restore a non-FBI Health & Safety message. For my own safety. But I feel risky today!
