Hacking troubles with cheats...

i have no idea, for me, it would be cos it is convenient, just drag it out and the first blank spot that i see is on my desktop. So i just toss my stuff in there and that has been the case ever since.

this got to do with the habit, convenient,and ease of explaining.

another, factor could be this is a temporary thing
so people just ask you to put it on your desktop and remove after finishing your task.

i have the tendency to keep junks outside of my desktop
so i usually keep everything on my desktop and remove after i am done with them

nuts.. i am kinda out of actual ideas, so the following are guesswork.

no, I haven't tried that one.

One thought occurred to me that could be totally off base, since I'm a perpetual noob. When I go to the "help" screen on the AKAIO menu, the one that displays the button map, it reads at the bottom "AKAIO V1.2". Now, I'm fairly certain I've updated and reupdated the firmware, so I'm pretty sure it's all the 1.5.1 stuff, but this makes me pause. Is it supposed to say that? If not, I could just be an idiot who apparently doesn't know how to properly update the stuff.

Then again, I don't have any trouble loading newer games, so I doubt that.

right. Then I'm doing something totally bizarre and wrong, and I have no idea what it is.

okay, it turns out that was the problem, and I had to do a hard re-install of AKAIO to get it up to 1.5.1 (ie remove it from the card, and put it back on from a fresh DL.) Luckily I had only just done that back up the other day, so my skins and cheat updates were right there on the hard drive.

I can't imagine why the rewriting style didn't take.

This sort of thing always seems to happen to me, where some strange mistake I overlooked or didn't realize happened keeps me from getting things accomplished that everyone claims is easy.
