ROM Hack Trouble with NSMB2 edits

When I run the edited CIA file of NSMB2 on my 3DS, there are two things that happen. 1: It loads the 3DS screen, then says "An error has occured". 2: It loads the game but the edits are nowhere to be seen. Can someone help me?

I think that patches sig checks. I'm probably not the one to be asked. I know Pasta and rxTools do for sure, though.

I really don't know. If you want (but I don't think is necessary), you can try it with pasta instead.
