Homebrew Trouble with A9lh...

I just successfully downgraded to 2.1 on a N3ds XL
I went to unbrick 2.1 in OTP helper, and i get an error saying

Using EmuNAND @ 3B0000/000000
CTRNAND is not slot0x5 encrypted!
Unbrick FW 2.1 Emunand: failed!

Press B to return, Start to reboot.


I have no idea what to do here...

Are you sure you are using the 0.5 release? 0.6 is apparently bugged.

I'd recommend a9lh. Everything is backed up almost every step of the way, so if something does go wrong there is always a chance to recover.

Would i need a hardmod to recover, i'm scared of that crap.

IN the event that you do brick while setting up a9lh, yes. But your hand is held every step of the way. After getting a9lh setup there is almost no chance of brick anymore though.

Really just never flash anything that gives an error message. If it says something didn't work IT DIDN'T WORK. Ask for help on IRC.

I heard that a9lh is pretty much the brick-proof. Does it work with rxTools? I could setup ReiNAND or AuriaNAND if its not.

It supposedly works with rxTools only on o3ds and with a boot manager (ctrbootmanager9 to be exact).

i waaas using the 5.0 release but thats the version i had that was giving me the error.
i just downloaded the latest latest 6.3 version which supposedly fixes the bugs..
