Homebrew trouble installing boot9strap

hi

my n3ds xl is already running cfw but i wanted to set up boot9strap as that seems to now be the standard.

I run udsploit, it tells me the kernel has been patched but when i then run safehax my 3ds just turns itself off.

does anyone know why this may be happening? iv tried googling it but nothing has helped so far.

Follow this if you have A9LH and want to update to B9S, or follow this if you have B9S but need to update it
