Is this even possible I read somewhere that 32 gb was a good size yet i have an 8 gb one,would I be able to transfer all the stuff,like modding wise to the new one?

Yep, it's usually as simple as just copy everything from the old card to the new one.
If you use an EmuNAND then I think it gets a bit more complicated, probably need to make an image of the old card, flash that to the new one, then resize the main partition. Or simply move the EmuNAND to SysNAND. Using an EmuNAND isn't generally recommended anymore since there isn't really any risk of bans anymore and they break a couple things like DSiWare, so you if you're unsure you probably don't have one.
