Homebrew TouchTest DS

Is it possible you just misunderstood the coordinates? To me they really don't mean anything and could be referring to where I'm tapping or anywhere else on the screen (unless I have the urge to count every single pixel)
my screen was around 0.5cm off. i go round the edges and it registers the edges correctly without being off by 0.5cm. there was a section on the top right where it never registered on games it just jumped to the side and this registered it.

im not sure if this makes a diference but im using a dsphat.

Pretty good first homebrew. You should make more stuff

oww yeah. nice homebrew. i have got an idea for your next homebrew.
how about calibrate the nds buttons? it may usefull

A button has two states, pushed or not pushed.
A touchscreen has infinitely amount of states, pushed here, pushed there, pushed somewhere else.
Calibrate the buttons? wtf?

I think he's trying to say "make a button tester".

Well, I think DiagnoSe does a pretty good job at it. Plus, I haven't figured out how to setup a GUI or anything, so DiagnoSe wins.

ok, sorry but someone HAS to say it.

First homebrew ?
yes, install devkitpro, compil PAlib provided examples. Done.

sorry to sound fishy, but I did the same thing with compiling the PAlib examples : touch the screen, print the coordinates.
There's another PAlib example : sprite follow the stylus.
copy/past, compile. done both in one.

I never considered it a homebrew I made when I did the copy/past and text replacement myself, it's just compiling other people work.

I understand you are happy because you made a game working from scratch, and you want to tell it to everyone. But printing coordinate and sprite follow is not your work, just standard PALib function.
Now it's nice for you to see how it's working, and I encourage you to continue learning, and release something you would have really created.

Ok, now I feel like a bad person ...

Thanks for the warm responses. I haven't been able to touch ANY code over the few weeks nor have I been able to touch se7en 2.0 due to school and everything.

I'll see what I can get done over the weekend.
