ROM Hack Tony Hawk Fixed?

So, I got a new version of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam off of the newsgroups (psy-thdj) that came with an NFO saying PATCH AND PLAY. It led me to believe this was a working copy as long as I patched it. Does anyone know how to patch this thing or am I ass out again?

No, the original release said "patch and play" .. but good news I'm browsing a Chinese site and M3 is coming out with a new update soon. It may address Tony Hawk DJ. This surely means other vendors are to follow.
