And the newer Hyrule Warriors only runs at 30 while this one is 60.

I recently got sucked into Magic: The Gathering. Recruiters are relentless. A friend knew that I enjoy Final Fantasy and was kind enough to buy me a Play Booster Box of the Universes Beyond Final Fantasy set as well as all four of the commander preconstructed decks.

Because my friend has talked about his regret for not buying any of the Warhammer 40K Precons when they were cheaper, I've started to slowly buy the singles for one of the decks to give to him as a gift to thank him for introducing me to cardboard crack.

As much as I’d like to get back into TCG’s (especially Pokemon), they’re filled with too many rules and on top of that, I don’t want to have whoop someone’s ass just to get a booster box.

Admittedly, there is a bit of a learning curve in Magic due to all of the different mechanics, keywords, and nuances in general. It's not uncommon to have the official rules and Scryfall on hand to assist with any unintuitive card interactions. That may contribute to my attraction to the game. It seems like there are near infinite deck brewing possibilities.

I agree that Pokémon is in a very poor state as far as sealed product availability is concerned. I've not seen any of the consumer insanity for Magic as I have for Pokémon. I used to collect Pokémon pre-COVID, but gave up when I looked into it again post-COVID. Even the Japanese booster boxes increased to ridiculous prices. I used to buy them for smaller concept sets. In fact, I still have an unopened Japanese booster box of the Mythical & Legendary Dream Shine concept set because I was able to complete the set with the first box I opened.

Those Japanese packs were fun to open. PokéKyun and the 20th Anniversary were a couple of my favorites:

It's too bad that Pokémon sealed product has become so prohibitively expensive. Magic sealed product is not as bad as Pokémon thanks to Collector Boosters. I think Pokémon would be in a better state if they adopted a similar model of having a premium sealed product for the special art cards. Thankfully, in Magic, whales, cardboard "investors," and scalpers target those coveted Collector Boosters rather than Play Boosters. This keeps Play Boosters accessible to players.

I bought a KTC 27" 1440p 210Hz monitor on Amazon. The monitor was $200 Canadian, but I got it for $100 because my brother-in-law gave me a $100 gift card for my birthday last month.

I ordered a Fifine K688 microphone to replace my old Neewer 1500 XLR microphone. I should be getting it sometime this week.

I bought a KTC 27" 1440p 210Hz monitor on Amazon. The monitor was $200 Canadian, but I got it for $100 because my brother-in-law gave me a $100 gift card for my birthday last month.

I bought the same monitor a few months ago to replace my old AOC. I am really happy with it for a secondary monitor. I have a 42" LG C5 as my main and holds up very nicely. Happy belated

1st thank you. Honestly, I wanted to get a 240Hz to 280Hz 32" monitor, but I have my PC set up in a small walk-in closet, and the roof is slanted toward where the desk is, so I was worried that it wouldn't fit. I have maybe 3 feet of space between the desk and the wall at my back. I'm happy with the 27" it's the perfect size for my setup, and I'll be replacing the old second Sansui 27" 1080p monitor with the same KTC monitor soon. But I have to say, the speakers on the KTC suck. The Sansui is so much louder and better quality, but I am always using headphones, so I don't care all that much.

I didn't even think about the built in speakers to tell you the truth. I have it setup to desktop speakers and think the picture quality for the price is great. I got it during a sale for dirt cheap.
Bust out some measuring tape to be sure. If you can fit anything larger than 27", I say go for it as a main and mount a third on the roof (kidding haha)

Nah, I think for me the sweet spot would be 27" at least in the space I have set up, so I'll stick with that for now. When I get the second 1440p monitor, I'll give my nephew the 1080p Sansui. It doesn't have HDR, but it will be a huge upgrade from his 20" 900p 60hz HP monitor. It was a hand-me-down from my old PC when his monitor died. And like I said, I don't really care about the speakers because I use headphones with my gaming setups. A lot of these cheap gaming monitors are cheap because they are from the companies that make and sell panels to big-name brands, so they just make and sell their own under their name, so a lot of them are really good.

Yeah, they have shields, zaku axes and beam sabers, however those are absurdly expensive (probably due to the size.

Another week and another time the closer flea market worked out well, the distant one I found out closes in a couple weeks so I can't say I feel sorry given what the owner did for years to it, apparently some bimbo from California that thought she knew better than the locals on how to price the place and finally forced to sell the land to get out. That place stood for like 40+ years and it's dead.

The place I got the glove last week ended up giving me just one amazing gem of a find, sucked to pay it though knowing. I was pointed out a SNES game was bought for a $1, guy was going to take it into the inside vendor to get $100, so I was like, I'll give you that, so it's mine -- Shien's Revenge and it cleaned very very well. I did get that original Simon for $5 there too.

All the rest was half price on the original Urusei Yatsura series for $30/ea, the damaged/broken parts TG game with no manual and back plastic cracked was a dollar, despite holes it works but I guess it's in the part with no data. The fake-o-mon were $3 and the yoyo a buck so I couldn't say no.

It'll be for a fun cheap cosplay (the Gundam stuff). I had fun with the helmet trying on the Gundam jacket. The shield bag is also pretty fun and useful for other stiff (can easily fit a steam deck and switch 2).

That is freaking cool. Where did you get the helmet from? And is it comfortable to wear?

On a side note, can i have the kitty?
